Key Real Estate: Bay Isles home sells for $1.5 million

Pamela and Norman Reiter, 531 Ranger Lane, sold their home at 500 Harbor Cove Circle in the Bay Isles subdivision to Abraham Mosseri for $1.5 million. Built in 1989, the 5,777-square-foot home has four bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms and a swimming pool. The home last sold for $1.85 million in May 2003. Mosseri is a professional poker and backgammon player who won the 2009 World Series of Poker $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball event.

The transaction was the largest of six sales recorded at the Sarasota and Manatee courthouses for the week of Aug. 23 through Aug. 27 on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys. Of the week’s sales, four took place on Longboat Key, including one in Manatee County, and two occurred on Lido Key. Of the week’s sales, two sold at prices of $1 million or more.

Country Club Shores

Daniel Lawrence, of Sarasota, sold his home at 525 Yawl Lane in Unit II of Country Club Shores to Chippings Folly LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Sarasota address, for $590,000. Built in 1964, the home has two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a swimming pool and 1,645 square feet of living space. It last sold for $276,000 in May 1999.

Privateer North
Alastair and Audrey Whitehead, of Monte-Carlo, Monaco, sold Apartment 906 at the 116-unit Privateer North, 1050 Longboat Club Road, to Gage McNally LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Longboat Key address registered to Michael and Gage McNally, of Longboat Key, for $415,000. Built in 1974, the two-bedroom, two-bath unit has 1,409 square feet of living space.

Sleepy Lagoon
Cynthia Hathaway, as personal representative for the estate of Robert Castle, sold the home at 531 De Narvaez Drive in Sleepy Lagoon Park to Michael Fischer, of Anna Maria, and Richard Fischer, of Golden Valley, Minn., for $305,000. The 1,470-square-foot, canal-front home was built in 1968 and remodeled in 1975 and has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. The home sold for $155,000 in July 1991.

Lido Key
Matthew Regas, John Faris, Sondra Faris and Jeffrey Hagood, all of Knoxville, Tenn., sold Unit B-303 at the Orchid Beach Club Residences, 2050 Benjamin Franklin Drive on Lido Key, to Ulla Julius for $1 million. The 2,036-square-foot unit was built in 2005 and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It last sold for $895,000 in October 2005.

Also on Lido Key, Philip Lariviere and his wife, Katherine O’Connor, of Wilmette, Ill., sold Unit 206 at Lido Shores condominium, 250 S. Polk Drive, to Robert Hesse, of Sarasota, for $245,000. Built in 1977, the 1,036-square-foot condominium has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $204,000 in July 2001.
