Volunteers needed for Coastal Cleanup

Sarasota County needs volunteers to help beautify the coast and other areas at the 2010 International Coastal Cleanup from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 25, at various sites from Sarasota Bayfront Park to North Port.

“This is one of our most popular events every year because so much of the Sarasota community lifestyle revolves around the beaches,” said Sandra Washington, manager for Keep Sarasota County Beautiful. “It has gotten so big that the cleanup effort has begun to move to many inland waterways as well.”
