A native of Portsmouth, Va., McManis is a third generation golfer; following in the footsteps of is father and grandfather.

McManis graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 and earned his Class A PGA designation in 2000.

After spending five years as a golf professional at The Fountains Golf and County Club and Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, McManis relocated to the west coast of Florida and became the head golf professional at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, which is associated with The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort and host to the Greg Norman Shark Shootout.

In 2004, McManis furthered his career by becoming the director of golf at Pelican Preserve Golf Club in Ft. Myers.

McManis lives with his wife Jenny and three children.

“We could not be more pleased with this addition to our club,” said Wayne Piazza, general manager of the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. “After a vigorous interview process with more than 150 applicants, we know that Bryan’s background, personality and skills will be a great fit for our membership.”
