+ Coldwell LBK earns Premier Office Award
The Longboat Key branch of Coldwell Banker has been named a premier office for the third consecutive year.
“The Premier Office Award is the most prestigious designation that can be given to an individual Coldwell Banker office, representing the highest level of teamwork and achievement,” said Sue Wolverton, senior vice president of Florida’s Southwest Region, in a prepared statement. “The sales associate team at the Longboat Key office exemplifies excellence for offices throughout the Coldwell Banker system.”
+ Barbara Mei joins Signature Sotheby’s
Barbara Mei recently joined Signature Sotheby’s International Realty.
Born in Italy and raised in New York, she represented Manhattan residences for 20 years, including The Corcoran Group’s Townhouse Division. In 1995, she became proprietor of her family restaurant, Fontana di Trevi, in New York City, which she sold in 2006. She also independently managed more than 100,000 square feet of commercial and residential space. Mei holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Boston College and a master’s degree in nutrition from Columbia University and has conducted research at various hospitals and universities.
Mei is fluent in Spanish and Italian. She holds Florida and New York broker’s licenses and serves on the Sarasota board of the American Cancer Society and as a member-at-large of the Women Presidents’ Organization.
+ SAR announces property sales high since Sept. ’05
The Sarasota Association of Realtors (SAR) announced that total property sales in the Sarasota real-estate market hit 800 for the month of March 2011 — the highest level since September 2005. Additionally, pending sales hit 1,208, a six-year high, while inventory dropped to 5,501, the lowest level in six years.
