Tower Residences condo sells for $2.5 million

A condominium in the Tower Residences tops all real-estate transactions from April 4 to April 8. Katherine Soderstrom, trustee, and David Curry, of St. Petersburg, sold the Unit 1505 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Anthony and Barbara Franke, of Long Grove, Ill., for $2.52 million. Built in 2003, it has four bedrooms, four baths and 3,659 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.86 million in 2003.

SARASOTA
Tower Residences
Ronald Pizzuti, of Orlando, sold his Unit 603 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Robert and Phyllis Seavey, of Sarasota, for $1.3 million. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,985 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.15 million in 2007.

Bay View Heights
Stephen and Lillian Rees, of Bradenton, sold their home at 2525 Colony Terrace to Ted and Patricia Nickelson, of Tampa, for $625,000. Built in 1959, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,146 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $540,000 in 2007.

1350 Main
Mary Anne Servian sold her Unit 706 condominium at 1350 Main St. to Caroline Naggiar, of New York, for $555,000. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,597 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $560,800 in 2007.

The Landings
L. Wade and Suzanne Nault, of Longboat Key, sold their home at 1612 Pine Harrier Circle to H. John and Harriet Landry, trustees, for $550,000. Built in 1985, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,607 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $458,000 in 2000.

Avondale
Mitchel and Kimberly Ruzek sold their home at 1930 Alta Vista St. to Robert and Susan Hoff, of Deerfield, Ill., for $525,000. Built in 1941, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,558 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $553,300 in 2006.

Bay Plaza
Robin MacRae, Janyce Beck and Susan Warner, trustees, and Robert Beck sold the Unit 805 condominium at 1255 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Andrew and Judy Sherman, of Rockville, Mo., for $442,500. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,656 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $157,000 in 1990.

Sunset Towers
Janet Watterson, Vicki Fay and Kimberly Ahr, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 202 condominium at 11 Sunset Drive to Herbert and Norma Harman III, of Pittsburgh, for $327,500. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,336 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $120,000 in 1992.

Alinari
Joel and Linda Anderson, of Punta Gorda, sold their Unit 606 condominium at 800 N. Tamiami Trail to Alexei Gurin and Anna Gurina, trustees, Sarasota, for $265,000. Built in 2007, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,310 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $429,000 in 2007.

John Abbett, of Sarasota, sold his home at 3621 White Sulphur Place to Robert and Susan Loeffler, of Sarasota, for $240,000. Built in 1968, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,281 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $328,000 in 2004.

Kenneth and Susan Beck, of Sarasota, sold their home at 3525 White Lane to Charles Knowles, of Sarasota, for $780,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,176 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.87 million in 2005.

Whispering Sands
David and Nancy Vornehm sold their Unit 103 condominium at 20 Whispering Sands Drive to William and Rhea Wiles, of Sarasota, for $675,000. Built in 1973, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,282 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $575,000 in 2004.

Sarasota Beach
Sandra McCourtney and Kathleen Richardson, of Rockford, Ill., sold their home at 665 Beach Road to Susan Patel, of Media, Pa., for $625,000. Built in 1963, it has six bedrooms, four baths and 2,175 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $815,000 in 2004.

Peppertree Bay
Fred Lane, of Sarasota, sold his Unit 221-D condominium at 1087 Peppertree Drive to Kenneth MacDonald and Begona Alonso, of Ontario, Canada, for $325,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,200 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $146,000 in 1990.

Larry Heiden and Barbara Heiden, trustees, sold the Unit 113B condominium at 1147 Peppertree Drive to John and Jon-Ann Granger of Reston, Va., for $293,400. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 975 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $92,000 in 1980.

Siesta’s Bayside
BankUnited sold the home at 671 Venice Lane to Andrew Kompanjec, of Sarasota, for $290,000. Built in 1978, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,879 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $399,000 in 2002.

Gulf Holiday Apartments
Douglas and Pamela Kampfer, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 2 condominium at 73 Avenida Messina to Gary Young and Judith Young, trustees, for $245,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 943 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $120,000 in 1998.

Bertram and Barbara Sayer, of Sarasota, sold their home at 6719 Paseo Castille to Delane Lipka, trustee, for $270,000. Built in 1990, it has three bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,547 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $245,900 in 1990.

Irene Amberg, trustee, sold the home at 4042 Via Mirada to Allyson Meyer, Sarasota, for $215,000. Built in 1993, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,702 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $150,400 in 1993.

Fairway Woods
Edythe O’Brien, trustee, and William O’Brien, of Sarasota, sold the Unit 103 condominium at 7632 Fairway Woods Drive to Carol and James LaBanca and Steven Locatell, of Sarasota, for $261,500. Built in 1985, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,556 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $191,900 in 1985.

OSPREY
Willowbend
Steven and Patricia Woodrow sold their home at 652 Crane Prairie Way to Terrence and Joan Collins, of Osprey, for $432,500. Built in 2003, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,426 square feet of living area.

Charles Jordan, trustee, sold the home at 1344 Thornapple Drive to Larry and Janet Kaplan, of Sarasota, for $330,000. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,909 square feet of living area.

Bay Oaks Estates
Jeremy and Priscilla Adams, of Sarasota, sold their home at 543 Oak Bay Drive to Thomas Levesque and Alena Capek, of Osprey, for $250,000. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,575 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $367,000 in 2004.
