+ Garden Club dedicates tree
Forty Carrots preschoolers joined the Sarasota Garden Club in an Arbor Day tree planting and dedication ceremony Jan. 21. The morning began with Garden Club member Barbara Rao reading the “The Giving Tree” to the students. Everyone then trekked outside to the garden to talk about how to protect and care for the tree and to cover its roots with dirt using golden shovels.
