Disorderly Conduct. Two men flagged down an officer, saying another man had been chasing them. They described the man as “sweaty and only spoke Spanish.” When the sweaty guy approached them, he appeared drunk, and the men said they felt threatened. The officer found the suspect, and he indeed was sweaty. The officer said he was a known drunk. However, he was not drunk enough to be taken into custody, so the officer took him home. When the officer returned to the original scene and told the two men how he handled the situation, one of the men became upset and pointed his finger in the officer’s face, demanding the sweaty guy be arrested. The “victim” said he felt threatened. However, the officer pointed out that the two men were both 5 feet 10 inches tall, and the drunk guy was 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighed 130 pounds. Some threat.
