Water Club condo sells for $2.4 million

Christine Moog sold her Unit PH1107 condominium at The Water Club II, 1281 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Thomas and Hwei Sung, Longboat Key, for $2.4 million. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 3,273 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,031,300 in 2000.

The Water Club condominium sale was the largest Key transaction recorded during the week of July 25 and July 29 at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses.

Of the week’s 11 sales, eight took place on the Key, all in Sarasota County, two took place on St. Armands Key, and one took place on Bird Key. Two sales reached $2 million or more; and two sales were between $1 million and $2 million.

Also at The Water Club, Sonya Glassberg, trustee, St. Louis, sold the Unit 804 condominium to Carolyn and Earl Glenn, of Stone Mountain, Ga., for $1,245,000. Built in 1999, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 3,054 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.25 million in 2000.

Country Club Shores
Thomas and Anne Rioux and Peter Carmichael sold their home at 1040 Bogey Lane to Mark and Doris Ivanov, of Glendora, Calif., for $447,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,609 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $6,000 in 1968.

Beachplace III
Adam Saffer, of Fairfax, Va., sold his Unit 402 condominium at 1065 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Paul Carreiro and Kimberley Pelyk, Longboat Key, for $412,500. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,392 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $554,000 in 2004.

Promenade
Countrywide Home Loans Inc., trustee, sold the Unit 504 condominium at 1211 Gulf of Mexico Drive to John Kalas, of Huntington Bay, N.Y., for $411,500. Built in 1985, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,585 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $345,000 in 1996.

The Privateer North
Robert and Teresa McDonnell sold their Unit 503 condominium at 1050 Longboat Club Road to Donald and Valerie Swanson, of Lake in the Hills, Ill., for $375,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,409 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $250,000 in 1999.

Portobello
Rudolph and Leah Baron, of Medford, N.J., sold their Unit B601 condominium at 3240 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Sandra and Spencer Lavis, of Ontario, Canada, for $370,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,519 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $515,000 in 2006.

Sea Place V
Scott and Kathleen Greig sold their Unit M2-307-G condominium at 1945 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Michael Shoulders and Scott Veazey, of Evansville, Ind., for $335,000. Built in 1978, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,076 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $165,000 in 1990.

The John Ringling Estates
Anna Nekoranec and Bengt Niebuhr, Sarasota, sold their home at 260 N. Washington Drive to ES&P Limited Partnership for $2 million. Built in 1951, it has five bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 3,366 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.3 million in 2004.

Bird Key
Frank Ricciardelli, personal representative, Sarasota, sold the home at 621 N. Owl Drive to Dillard and Vicki Moore, Sarasota, for $1.6 million. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,491 square feet of living area.

Robert Parks, trustee, and Joann Calleia-Parks, Sarasota, sold the home at 258 Robin Drive to Franklin and Rebecca Sachs, Bradenton, for $975,000. Built in 1967, it has five bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,568 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $531,300 in 1999.
