A team from Grant’s Gardens and Lucas Lagoons took two weeks to transform a 2008 design into reality for owners of a Siesta Key home.
The owners had asked for a pool with two waterfalls as well as a constant flow of water from a decorative pot in their front yard. Nighttime lighting lends that front-yard feature a magical look.
Additionally, the owners sought a native feel from their landscaping, and they wanted it to incorporate their orchids and bromeliads. Many of the flowers grow in large, colorful Vietnamese pots arranged in a variety of places, from the deck to the dock — even tucked among foliage around the yard.
Yet another request of the owners was for Grant’s Gardens to help them design an outdoor kitchen in the midst of the landscaping. That kitchen features a pizza oven, enabling the owners to enjoy pies poolside.
According to Sean Pontzer, who tends the landscape weekly, the pizza created in the outdoor oven is quite delicious.
