Sarasota Council welcomes new board members in its 33rd year

Donald Kayton, of Longboat Key, was elected as the new board president of the Literacy Council of Sarasota. The council is a 33-year non-profit organization that focuses on improving the English skills of adults in Sarasota County. Vice president will be Ted Lindenberg, secretary will be Toni LaMotta, and Charles Gallagher will serve as treasurer. Another addition to the organization is Sarasota native Shon Ewens, who will serve as the council’s new executive director.
