Every Child, Inc. holds school supply drive

Every Child, Inc. will be collecting school supplies and monetary donations until 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Minuteman Press on the corner of Fruitville Road and Lime Avenue. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota County donated a bus for the cause and for the last few days the bus has been serving as a helpful reminder to people driving by about the school supply drive. Judy Alexander, the president of Every Child, Inc., said that the donated items will be taken to the Boys & Girls Club and the items will be sorted out and put together for agencies to come by and pick up next week so that children in need of school supplies will be ready for school the following week.
