Preschool offers new hours

Braden River United Methodist Church's Lighthouse Kids Preschool is expanding its hours of operation to better meet the needs of working parents.

Starting Aug. 22, the school will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., weekdays, for a full-day program and from 9 a.m. to noon for a part-time program.

"Our church's preschool staff provides a secure place 2-, 3- and 4-year-old children are assisted to develop their social skills and intellect in an environment rich in activities, fun and love," Pastor John Peavey said.

The school is accredited through the United Methodist Association of Preschools and is a Gold Seal School in the state.
