Harbor Acres home sells for $2,262,500

Margaret Varner, Sarasota, sold her home at 1545 Hillview Drive, in Harbor Acres, to Donald and Sharon Lerner, Sarasota, for $2,262,500. Built in 1997, it has five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,625 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.1 million in 2002.

Of the 22 residential sales recorded Aug. 1 to Aug. 5 at the Sarasota County Courthouse, 10 took place in Sarasota; six took place in Palmer Ranch; five were in Osprey and one was on Casey Key. In total, three sold for more than $1 million.

Marina Tower
Tana Sandefur, trustee, sold the Units 1001 and 1003 condominiums at 1233 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Steven and Joann Stein, Sarasota, for $1.55 million. Built in 2001, it has five bedrooms, six baths, two half-baths and 5,815 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.85 million in 2001.

Tessera
Bertram and Jane Kummel, Sarasota, sold their Unit 42 condominium at 500 S. Palm Ave. to Donald Amos and Dorcas Amos, trustees, Sarasota, for $1.4 million. Built in 2000, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths and 3,315 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $942,000 in 2000.

One Watergate
Dennis Penna, Sarasota, sold his Unit 3-C condominium at 1111 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Mary Tona, Sarasota, for $400,000. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,736 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $585,000 in 2005.

Condominium on the Bay
Thomas Gardner and Barbara Vanderkolk, Sarasota, sold their Unit 915 condominium at 988 Blvd. of the Arts to Elinor London, Sarasota, for $399,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,555 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $395,000 in 2010.

Pomelo Place
Margaret McManus sold her home at 1710 Loma Linda St. to David and Jane Boone, Sarasota, for $367,500. Built in 1942, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 1,982 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $71,500 in 1980.

Bay’s Bluff
Linda Olsen, Sarasota, sold her Unit 103 condominium at 1100 Imperial Drive to Sujatha Prabhakaran, Sarasota, for $265,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,160 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $340,000 in 2004.

Pelican Cove
J. Dixon Bergman and Anna Hamilton, of Plymouth, Mass., sold their Unit 221 condominium at 1621 Boathouse Circle to Laura Weber, of Rome, Ga., for $250,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,216 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $315,000 in 2003.

John and Nancy Burges, of Fairfield, Conn., sold their Unit 133B condominium at 1629 Pelican Cove Road to William McKay and Rita Breen, Sarasota, for $237,000. Built in 1981, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,770 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $320,000 in 2004.

South Gate
Patricia Payne, Sarasota, sold her home at 3617 Jaffa Drive to Peter and Brenda Wright, Sarasota, for $240,000. Built in 1974, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,243 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $200,000 in 2009.

Mira Lago at Palmer Ranch
Linda Dooley, Sarasota, sold her home at 7188 Del Lago Drive to Doyle and Mary King, Sarasota, for $300,000. Built in 1995, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 2,383 square feet of living area.

Joseph and Jane Mojica, of Marietta, Ga., sold their home at 3895 Alamanda Drive to Raymond and Marilyn Maine, Sarasota, for $275,000. Built in 1996, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,872 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $250,000 in 2008.

Jean Marchegiani and Patricia Berezansky, of Toms River, N.J., sold their home at 7614 Pesaro Drive to Veronica Mittak, of Seneca Falls, N.Y., for $242,000. Built in 2003, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,534 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $203,500 in 2003.

Ronald and Linda Arthur, Sarasota, sold their home at 7840 Bergamo Ave. to Ashley Gaw, Sarasota, for $215,000. Built in 2004, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 1,672 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $235,000 in 2008.

HSBC Mortgage Services Inc. sold the home at 6278 Sturbridge Court to Ryan and Julie Simonson, Sarasota, for $230,000. Built in 1999, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,222 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $329,000 in 2004.

John and Patricia Carlin, Sarasota, sold their home at 442 Mac Ewen Drive to Michael and Larise Nicholson, Osprey, for $832,500. Built in 1998, it has three bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,102 square feet of living area. The property previously sold for $117,500 in 1995.

Southbay Yacht and Racquet Club
J. Scott and Patricia Harris, Osprey, sold their home at 1532 Soutbay Drive to Michael and Sharon Bense, of Newfoundland, Canada, for $700,000. Built in 1996, it has four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,306 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $521,200 in 2001.
Robert Gredick and Alice Durand sold their home at 208 Lookout Point Drive to Robert and Rhonda Burlile, of Gallipolis, Ohio, for $535,000. Built in 1988, it has four bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 3,289 square feet of living area. The property previously sold for $650,000 in 2007.

Charles and Paula Farnsworth, Sarasota, sold their home at 3109 Casey Key Road to Robert and Sara Lumpkins, of St. Louis Park, Minn., for $1.96 million. Built in 1952, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,297 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $650,000 in 1997.
