Country Club Shores home sells for $740,000

Joyce Lamson-Scribner and PNC Bank, N.A., trustees, Alan Willens and Kathy Willens sold the home at 573 Gunwale Lane to William and Lynn Cook, of White Plains, N.Y., for $740,000. Built in 1979, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,124 square feet of living area. The property previously sold for $68,000 in 1978.

The Country Club Shores home sale was the top real-estate transaction recorded Aug. 8 to Aug. 12 at the Sarasota and Manatee County courthouses.

All of this week’s four sales took place on Longboat Key, with two each in Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Grand Bay VI
Jeffrey and Donna Werner, of Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y., sold their Unit 616 condominium at 3070 Grand Bay Blvd. to Douglas Fiske, Naples, for $440,000. Built in 1995, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,270 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $893,300 in 2006.

Windward Bay
Catherine L. Gemrich and Catherine K. Gemrich, trustees, of Holland, Mich., sold the Unit 201 condominium at 4900 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Raymond and Mona Brennan, of Middlebury, Conn., for $235,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,337 square feet of living area.

Whitney Beach
James and Nancy Gates, of Johnson, Mo., sold their Unit 186 condominium at 6800 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Damian and Holly Lebamoff, of Bellbrook, Ohio, for $215,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,367 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $179,500 in 2000.
