Recently we featured Nicholas Collins, 11, who participated in Florida Studio Theatre’s Performing Arts Camp Session III and led the other students in an effort to raise money for cancer research.

At the time the story appeared, the students had raised $200 with a goal of raising $350.

FST Director of Education Beth Duda and Nicholas presented a check at the end of the open dress rehearsal for the camp’s show, “Alone in the Universe.”

“Five hundred dollars,” said Nicholas as he announced the final total that was written on the check made out to the Cancer Support Community of the Florida Suncoast.
