Former Mustang star to coach baseball camp

Former Lakewood Ranch High, Manatee Community College and University of Central Florida standout Jonathan Griffin will be on hand to help coach during 217 Sports and SCF baseball’s winter baseball camp Dec. 19-22.

The camp, which is open to children ages six through 13, will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Bob Wynn Field on the campus of the State College of Florida.

During the camp, players will learn proper technique and the fundamental skills for throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running.

The cost of the camp is $90 with a $5 discount for each additional sibling. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt and prizes will be awarded throughout the camp.
