Two-home deal tops week's sales at $3.015M

The following residential real estate transactions took place between Nov. 28 and Dec. 2.

A two-home sale in Revised Siesta top all transactions in this week’s real estate. Kevin and Antoinette Cogan, of Louisville, Ky., sold two homes, at 4079 Shell Road and 4083 Shell Road, to Neil and Sandra DeFeo, of Westport, Conn., for $3.015 million. The home at 4079 was built in 1998; it has three bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths, a pool and 2,159 square feet of living area. The home at 4083 Shell Road was built in 1959; it has three bedrooms, four baths and 4,239 square feet of living area. The homes previously sold for $4.115 million in 2006.

Mira Mar Beach
Michael Foran, Sarasota, sold his home at 125 Beach Road to Christopher and Michele Brown, Osprey, for $700,000. Built in 1980, it has three bedrooms, five baths and 2,568 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $210,000 in 1989.

Harbour Towne
Donald and Carolyn Robinson, Sarasota, sold their Unit 225 condominium at 1341 Dockside Place to William Becker and Jimmy Upchurch, Fort Lauderdale, for $650,000. Built in 1982, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,326 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $315,000 in 1998.

Siesta Properties Inc.
Jay Price and Leslie Juron, Sarasota, sold their home at 7222 Melaleuca Way to Myron and Gilda Kwan, Valrico, for $610,000. Built in 1958, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,955 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $307,000 in 1996.

Sarasota by the Sea
Roy and Deborah Smith, Sarasota, sold their home at 1140 Sun N Sea Drive to Martin and Victoria Lee, Sarasota, for $435,000. Built in 1955, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,248 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $230,000 in 1997.

Jamaica Royale
Linda and Eric Murphy, trustees, Cape Coral, sold the Unit 72 condominium at 5830 Midnight Pass Road to David Schmidt and Carissa Burton, of Ontario, Canada, for $410,000. Built in 1964, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 986 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $195,000 in 2000.

Village West I
Robert and Vicki Holstead, of Round Hill, Va., sold their Unit 113 condominium at 5238 Avenida Navarra to David and Kim Burrell, of Norwich, N.Y., for $394,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 960 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $590,000 in 2005.

Island Reef
Virginia Smith, of Davidsonville, Md., sold her Unit 505-C condominium at 8776 Midnight Pass Road to Ronald and Melissa Gindling, Cincinnati, for $345,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,338 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $435,000 in 2003.

Ocean Beach
Harriett Gracely-Hritz, Sarasota, sold her home at 4638 Gleason Ave. to Colin and Cheryl Robertson, of La Grange, Ill., for $340,000. Built in 1955, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,907 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $116,000 in 1988.

Sarasota Beach
Shannon Wallin, Sarasota, and Laura Gray, of Sterling, Va., sold their home at 5515 Calle Del Verano to Brian White, Sarasota, for $300,000. Built in 1978, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,273 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $339,000 in 2003.

Vista Hermosa
Michael Yore, trustee, of Orland Park, Ill., sold the Unit A-3 condominium at 113 Vista Hermosa Circle to Valerie Pober, Sarasota, for $215,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,201 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $87,000 in 1992.
