University Park shines at charity ball

Members of the University Park Women’s Club and their guests sparkled Dec. 10, during the club’s seventh annual Diamond and Crystal Charity Ball

This year the theme was “Fire and Ice,” and the menu featured Asian-inspired shrimp tempura and braised short ribs, a perfect mix of spice and nice.

All proceeds will benefit the Food Bank of Manatee County.

Committee members included Deborah VanBrunt, Mary Bennett, Beckie Suverkrup, Elaine Kulbako, Pam Yulke, Patti Doench, Nancy Kopnisky, Cheryl Kleiman and Linda Boles.
