“As I complete my term as Siesta Key Chamber of Commerce chairwoman, I am reflecting on the amazing success Siesta Key has seen. With a No. 1 Beach status for 2011, our 23rd successful year of fireworks and the Crystal Classic Master Sandsculpting event with more than 40,000 in attendance, it is my New Year’s Resolution not to revel in our success. Instead, I will move forward in working with the numerous organizations and government entities that have made 2011 incredible for business and residents. At the end of 2012, we will regard the success of 2011 simply a stepping stone.”

Mark Smith, Smith Architects
“I would wish for all the organizations on Siesta Key to continue working together for the betterment of the entire Key.”

Catherine Luckner, President of the Siesta Key Association
“The work of the Siesta Key Association is a stewardship of all that provides a secure, beautiful and welcoming place to live. Our mission this new year is to bring forward the best of all of us, to be advocates, good neighbors, educators and leaders, focused on all that supports our Siesta Key home. I have been so happy to have people offering their talent, creativity and actions to make a difference every day in our community. With so many stepping up to share themselves, we know our work will be successful.”
