Braden River clinches top seed

The Braden River High boys basketball team clinched the No. 1 seed in the Class 4A-District 10 tournament, which will begin Feb. 8.

On Jan. 24, the Pirates defeated Palmetto 51-49. Tommy Bernhardt made a pair of free throws with 7.2 seconds remaining to secure the victory.

Tre Bryant led the way with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals. Trevon Young recorded 13 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks, three assists and two steals. Javar Baity and Jeff Casseus added six points and two rebounds each.
