The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

GREYHAWK LANDING 
Feb. 4
 2 p.m.
— 12400 block of Daisy Place. Criminal mischief. The victim reported someone broke her mailbox by unknown means. The mailbox is a solid cast iron and is a dual unit. The cost to replace the mailbox is about $350.

LAKEWOOD RANCH
Feb. 6
 11:50 a.m.
— 5500 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. (Lakewood Ranch High). Information: disturbance. The responding deputy arrived at the scene in response to a disturbance. Upon arrival, the deputy was advised that the two parties involved were gone. According to a witness, two members of opposing soccer teams got involved in a verbal argument over the game. The verbal argument turned physical when the Hispanic male player struck the other white male player on his face. Both subjects began fighting. Another white male broke up the fight. The first white male player took of his shirt and began running in an attempt to keep the fight going. Both players got into their respective vehicles and left the area.

MANATEE PALMS
Feb. 5
 8:55 a.m.
— 100 block of 65th Street NE. Burglary to an unoccupied dwelling. Unknown person(s) drove into the victim’s driveway. The person(s) then entered the backyard and forced open the rear sliding glass door by prying the lock. The person(s) obtained a small fire safe containing $4,400 cash and $800 in women’s jewelry and a purse containing ID cards, credit cards and other items valued at $15. Both items were taken from the master bedroom closet, and nothing else appeared to have been disturbed. A neighbor has video surveillance of a family member coming and going after the victims left and then video of another unknown type of vehicle pulling in at night with at least two suspects involved. A copy of the surveillance video could not be obtained at this time. Two print cards were obtained from the rear sliding door.

MYAKKA CITY
Feb. 5
 9:30 p.m. 
— 24500 block of State Road 70 E. Aggravated assault on a firefighter. The responding deputy arrived at the scene in response to EMS and fire needing assistance. The suspect had been making threats to shoot the EMS and fire personnel. After a tactical approach, the suspect was tasered and handcuffed. No weapon was found.

Feb. 6
 5:20 p.m.
— 10700 block of Russ Road. Battery. The victim was attending the Mud Festival when two men approached him. One suspect attacked the victim first and was then joined by the other suspect. The victim had minor injuries to the back of his head and back. The victim complained of rib pain and stated he would see a doctor on his way home. He denied EMS at the scene.

WINDSONG ACRES
Feb. 4
 5:30 p.m
. — 11000 block of 10th Avenue E. Burglary to an unoccupied structure. Unknown person(s) forced entry by cutting the screen to the swimming pool door. Once inside the lanai, the person(s) placed a chair underneath the kitchen window and entered the residence through an unlocked kitchen window. Once inside the residence, the person(s) entered the master bedroom and took checks from a checkbook. There were no witnesses to the incident.

OTHER
Feb. 5
 11:30 p.m.
— 6225 S.R. 64 E. (Walmart). Grand theft. The complainant reported an unknown person stole her wallet at her place of work. The total value of the theft is $316.
