Thanks to Justin James’ idea, the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee now has its first co-ed rowing team. In partnership with Sarasota Crew, USF announced the team Feb. 3, at Bay Preserve, in Osprey. Twelve students, ranging in age from 21 to 32, will begin practicing Feb. 13.

“When I first heard about Nathan Benderson Park, I knew that having a world-class rowing facility in our backyard, we needed a team,” said James, president of the crew team.
