Pirates open season with shutout

The Braden River High baseball team opened its season with a 14-0 victory over Bayshore Feb. 15.

Ashton Webb and Dakota Wilson combined for the shutout, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out four.

Jerrod Leinhauser went 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored; Ryan Fischer went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs and three runs scored; and Dylan Lee went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored to lead the way for Braden River at the plate.
