+ New College ranked No. 11 among top public colleges
Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine ranked New College of Florida No. 11 on its annual ranking of the “100 Best Values in Public Colleges” for 2011. This year marks the eighth consecutive time that New College has placed among the nation’s top-20 public colleges overall on the Kiplinger’s list of schools.
Schools are ranked according to cost and financial aid, as well as academic quality, admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios and four- and six-year graduation rates.

“For 50 years since our founding, New College has consistently provided a student-centered education focused on academic excellence, strong faculty mentoring and independent study,” said New College President Mike Michalson in a prepared statement. “We’re delighted that Kiplinger’s continues to recognize the high caliber and affordable education New College offers its students.”
