All-Star scoreboard for July 5

Braden River and Lakewood Ranch Little Leagues both came away with victories in the District 26 All-Star Baseball Tournament July 5 at G.T. Bray.

Lakewood Ranch 9, Braden River 5

Lakewood Ranch Little League notched three hits in the fifth inning of a must-win game. Lakewood Ranch scored five runs to extend its lead to seven late in the game. With the win, Lakewood Ranch avenged an earlier 13-3 pool play loss to Braden River and force a winner-take-all title game July 6 at GT Bray. The winner will capture the division title and will advance to the sectional tournament.

Braden River 3, Buffalo Creek 2

Hunter Thomas went 3-for-3 with a home run and Michael Acklin and Codey Metters both hit doubles to lead the way for Braden River at the plate.

Manatee West 11, Lakewood Ranch 4

Matt Monroe and Shawn McLaughlin both notched two hits to lead the way for Lakewood Ranch at the plate.
