Helmer Hagman has joined the St. Armands office of Michael Saunders & Co. Hagman was a real estate-and-finance professional in Europe for more than 30 years and has served as an independent investment banker and consultant for private investors, banks and other lending institutions throughout Germany, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. He visited Florida for the first time in 1978 on a one-year contract for consulting work in the international real-estate department of First National Bank of Palm Beach. He moved in 2004 to the Longboat Key area to specialize in promoting waterfront property to European clients.
Hagman completed a two-year intensive course in real-estate law at the Scandinavian Real Estate Society School. He is fluent in English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish and German.

A Casey Key Gulf-front estate at 1011 Casey Key Road recently sold for $7,575,000, the highest year-to-date price paid for a home on the island and the second-highest amount paid for a residential property in Sarasota County this year. Linda Roe Dickinson, of Michael Saunders & Co., listed the property, and John Blutenthal, of Southbay Realty Inc., represented the buyers. Built in 2004, the 10,291-square-foot home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, four half-bathrooms and a swimming pool. According to the warranty deed, the buyer was Kenneth Rowe Investment Limited Partnership, a Nova Scotia limited partnership. Sellers were Ermon and Linda Pickard, of Savannah, Tenn.
