The Longboat Key Club Moorings Marina will celebrate National Marina Day this weekend with an open house that will provide information about the role of marinas in local economies, along with marine issues and boater safety.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Moorings Marina, 2630 Harbourside Drive.

Marine-based programs such as the Save the Manatees Club, Sarasota Bay Estuary Program and U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Auxiliary will distribute information.

A raffle prize of two nights’ free dockage will be awarded at the event.
