Ranch Kings U17 team wins Sunshine LAX Series

The Lakewood Ranch Kings U17 lacrosse team won the Sunshine Lacrosse Series Tournament June 4-5 in Wesley Chapel.

The team, which comprises students from Lakewood Ranch, Manatee, Cardinal Mooney and Pineview High Schools, finished the tournament undefeated.

The Kings defeated Tampa Tribe Navy 10-1, the Sand Sharks 6-0, Tribe-Ocala 9-6 and the Tampa Tribe-Caroline 8-6 to advance to the championship. In the championship, the team defeated the Seminole Warhawks 7-4.
