L'Ambiance unit sells for $2,375,000

Michael and Robin Gusky, of Weston, sold Unit F-208 at the 145-unit L’Ambiance at the Longboat Key Club and Resort, 415 L’Ambiance Drive, to Paul Sobey and Janis Sobey-Hames, of Stellarton, Nova Scotia, for $2,375,000. Built in 1992, the 3,220-square-foot unit has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and two half-baths. It last sold for $1,025,000 in September 1993.

The sale was the largest of 12 transactions recorded on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys during the week of May 23 through May 27 at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses. Of the week’s sales, seven took place on Longboat Key, including two in Manatee County, while two each occurred on Bird and Lido Keys, and one took place on Lido Key. Three of the week’s sales exceeded $1 million.

Sanctuary
Michael and Susan Seery, of Carmel, Ind., sold Unit A-601 at 535 Sanctuary Drive in the 186-unit Sanctuary to Raymond and Gayle Sobieck, of Columbia, Mo., for $1.25 million. Built in 1990, the 3,115-square-foot home has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. It last sold for $748,600 in September 2002.

Emerald Harbor
Roland and Karen Kobb, of Bradenton, sold their home at 5941 Emerald Harbor Drive to George and Dolores Stevens for $840,000. Built in 1973 and remodeled in 1990, the 2,606-square-foot, canal-front home has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $365,000 in April 1998.

Beachplace
Filitsa Chigas, of Chelmsford, Mass., and Marvin and Rosalie Schorr, of Boston, sold Unit 605 at 1115 Gulf of Mexico Drive in the 336-unit Beachplace, to Robert and Nancy Koran, of Bethesda, Md., for $690,000. Built in 1979, the 1,819-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $212,000 in May 1986.

Casa Del Mar
John and Deborah Ayres, of Bradenton, sold Unit 12-A at the 106-unit Casa del Mar, 4621 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Timothy and Jerri Walroth, of Lesage, W.Va., for $500,000. Built in 1972, the 756-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It last sold for $765,000 in February 2005.

Fairway Bay
Leon and Marysue Wechsler, of Fairfax, Va., sold Unit 411 at 2020 Harbourside Drive at Fairway Bay II to Paul and Marilyn Blankman, of Princeton, N.J., for $435,000. Built in 1984, the 1,442-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $472,500 in November 2003.

Sands Point
Julius and Estelle Rehfield, of East Norwich, N.Y., sold Unit 325 at 100 Sands Point Road in the 78-unit Sands Point to Vincent Cavallo, of Lancaster, Pa., for $325,000. Built in 1966, the 1,492-square-foot unit has one bedroom and two bathrooms. It last sold for $107,500 in March 1986.

Bird Key
George and Cheryl Pintea, 635 N. Owl Drive, sold their home at 488 Partridge Circle to Catherine Bachand, of Woodstock, Ill., for $1,595,000. Built in 1973, the 4,344-square-foot home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $2.3 million in June 2007.
John Sirchio, individually and as trustee of the Wanda Hill Trust, of Louisville, Ky., and Jeffrey Sirchio and Bryan Sirchio, of Madison, Wis., sold the home at 641 N. Owl Drive to William Noonan and Bonnie McIntyre, husband and wife, 380 Gulf of Mexico Drive, for $929,800. Built in 1965, the 3,111-square-foot home has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $569,000 in June 1990.

St. Armands Towers
Linda Thayer sold Unit 54 at St. Armands Towers, 101 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Frank Poot, of De Lier, Netherlands, for $320,000. Built in 1968, the 1,320-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $155,000 in August 1992.

Mark Twain Apartments
Sharon D’Amico, of Lafayette, Ind., sold Unit 21-C at Mark Twain Apartments, 1336 Benjamin Franklin Drive, to Doug Wiemer, of Boulder, Colo., for $220,000. Built in 1966, the 814-square-foot unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It last sold for $459,000 in May 2005.

Sarasota Harbour
Christopher Cassidy, of Slingerlands, N.Y., sold Unit 22 at Arlington House in Sarasota Harbour Apartments, 761 John Ringling Blvd. to Richard and Charlene O’Connor for $200,000. Built in 1963, the 816-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It last sold for $36,500 in September 1977.
