Members of the Manatee County School Board Monday night again delayed a decision on the district's budget for the 2011-2012 school year.

Superintendent Tim McGonegal had previously offered two budget cut proposals — one for $11.16 million and another for about $17 million — but school board members were not happy with either.

Instead, they asked the superintendent to come back with an option somewhere in between. The school district is working to reduce its $644 million budget and must approve a new one by July 27.
