Tower Residences condo sells for $2.25 million

A condominium in The Tower Residences tops all real-estate transactions from June 13 to June 17. Michael and Karen Valentino, of Sarasota, sold their Unit 1203 condominium at 35 Watergate Drive to Sally Yanowitz, trustee, for $2.25 million. Built in 2003, it has three bedrooms, three baths and 2,985 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.85 million in 2003.

Marina Tower
Marina Tower of Sarasota Ltd. sold the Unit 304 condominium at 1233 N. Gulfstream Ave. to Penelope Hill, of Sarasota, for $850,000. Built in 2001, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,980 square feet of living area.

Marina Tower
Jesse Biter, of Sarasota, sold his home at 6713 Ave. B to Antony and Gillian Bartlett, of Sarasota, for $517,000. Built in 1982, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,805 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $810,000 in 2004.

Regency House
Marie Sutton, of Port Charlotte, sold her Unit 601 condominium at 435 S. Gulfstream Ave. to Yitzhak and Elaine Bakal, of Brookline, Mass., for $500,000. Built in 1972, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,687 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $600,000 in 2009.

Granada
Equine Real Estate LLC sold the home at 3715 Camino Real to Todd and Julie Mathes, of Schoharie, N.Y., for $372,500. Built in 1952, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,617 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $465,000 in 2003.

W.B. Towles
Jacqueline Banaszynski, of Seattle, sold her home at 1959 Morrill St. to David Brown, of Ormond Beach, for $325,000. Built in 1985, it has five bedrooms, three baths and 1,614 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $879,000 in 2005.

Condominium on the Bay
Alexander and Virginia Randall, of Hingham, Mass., sold their Unit 316 condominium at 988 Blvd. of the Arts to Philip and Donna Mangione, of East Greenwich, R.I., for $324,000. Built in 1982, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,555 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $340,000 in 2008.

McClellan Park
Lorenzo Emden, of Sarasota, sold his home at 2250 Okobee Drive to Arrow Holdings for $321,000. Built in 1932, it has four bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 2,664 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $926,300 in 2005.

Todd Sweet and Claudia Shea-Sweet, of Sarasota, sold their home at 2317 Arlington St. to John Gillard, of Quebec, Canada, for $295,000. Built in 1988, it has two bedrooms, three baths, a pool and 1,774 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $259,500 in 2004.

D&L Partners-1 sold the home at 3580 Schrock St. to Larry Newswanger, of Landisville, Pa., for $224,000. Built in 1984, it has three bedrooms, five baths and 3,483 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $142,100 in 1988.

Sharon Lavigne, of New London, N.H., sold the Unit 301-A condominium at 8701 Midnight Pass Road to Jon and Antoinette Halsted, of Hamilton, Ohio, for $685,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,769 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $260,000 in 1988.

Jon and Antoinette Halsted sold their Unit 302-A condominium at 8701 Midnight Pass Road to Robert and Linda Kenney, of Sarasota, for $410,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,357 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $450,000 in 2004.

Stephen and Jennifer Marinan, of Sarasota, sold their home at 5548 Shadow Lawn Drive to Adam and Kathy Walton, of Sarasota, for $665,000. Built in 1968, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and 2,315 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $805,000 in 2007.

Syracuse Properties Inc. sold the Unit 609 condominium at 5770 Midnight Pass Road to Todd and Rachna Patel, of Charlottesville, Va., for $570,000. Built in 1980, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,337 square feet of living area.

Robert and Linda Kenney, of Laurel, N.Y., sold their Unit 308 condominium at 8635 Midnight Pass Road to Jerome Reid and Carole Reid, of Bettendorf, Iowa, for $485,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,160 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $425,000 in 2007.

Lillian Drenz, of Stafford, Va., sold the Unit 420 condominium at 5855 Midnight Pass Road to Dragos Macelaru and Luminita Iorgu, of Malonne, N.Y., for $264,700. Built in 1976, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,056 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $155,000 in 1995.

John Lucas, of Elwood, Ill., sold his Unit PH-08 condominium at 5855 Midnight Pass Road to Richard and Gail Anoe, of St. John, Ind., for $259,500. Built in 1976, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,056 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $295,000 in 2002.

Maurice and Ann Beale sold their Unit 332 condominium at 5855 Midnight Pass Road to Joseph and Ruthann Schurman, of Newark, Del., for $245,000. Built in 1976, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,165 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $120,000 in 1981.

Cecil Brennan sold the home at 3851 Spyglass Hill Road to Howard and Nancy Steffes, of Sarasota, for $390,000. Built in 1983, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 3,195 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $400,000 in 2004.

Joyce Frawley and Robert Frawley, trustee, sold the home at 5128 Brooksbend Circle to John and Arlene Meyer, of Sarasota, for $300,000. Built in 1998, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,971 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $223,600 in 1998.

Roy and Suzanne Wilson, of Sevierville, Tenn., sold their home at 8016 Camminare Drive to Martin and Eileen Entler, of Sarasota, for $241,000. Built in 2004, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,534 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $255,100 in 2004.

Raymond and Kathleen Pilon, of Sarasota, sold their home at 5746 Tristino Lane to Susan Hearne, of Orland Park, Ill., for $227,500. Built in 2005, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,693 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $285,600 in 2005.
