Braden River blanks Venice

The Braden River High softball team defeated Venice 1-0 in non-district action March 2.

Sophomore Courtney Mirabella earned the win for the Lady Pirates, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out 11.

Kenya Yancy went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored; and Ashley Allard went 1-for-3 with a double and a RBI to lead the way for Braden River at the plate. Melissa Malanczuk went 2-for-3 with a double and a stolen base and Nicole Tira went 1-for-3 with a double.
