Intramural diving team set to hit the pool

Local divers looking to prepare for next year’s swimming and diving season are encouraged to participate in a new intramural dive team starting up at GT Bray in Bradenton.

Practices will be held with coach Carl Springfels from 5-6 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays at the GT Bray Aquatics Center, 5502 33rd Ave. Dr. W. Additional practices on Thursday, Friday and Saturday may be added at a later date. The first practice, which will focus on board work and form, will be held March 16.

The cost for the team is $45 a month or $5 a practice for intermittent divers. A 40% discount for siblings and scholarships are also available.
