Lady Pirates cruise past Dixie Hollins

The Braden River High softball team dominated Dixie Hollins 20-0 in district action March 4.

Courtney Mirabella, Rachel Patneaude and Kenya Yancy all saw action on the mound, combining for two hits and nine strikeouts.

Mirabella went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a RBI and two runs scored and Elena Lopez went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored to lead the way for the Lady Pirates at the plate.

Melissa Malanczuk and Ashley Allard both went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored; and Jessica Cadorette, Katie Huss and Patneaude all went 3-for-3, finishing with a combined seven RBIs and seven runs scored. Yancy went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Braden River returns to action March 15 at Palmetto in its final district game of the season.
