Ron and Karen Jurgens, of Longboat Key, sold their home at 1560 Harbor Sound Drive in the Bay Isles subdivision, located behind the Harbourside gates of the Longboat Key Club and Resort, to Jeffrey Hotchkiss for $1.8 million. Built in 1991, the 4,361-square-foot home has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $1.2 million in November 1994.
The transaction was the largest of the 14 sales recorded on Longboat, Lido, St. Armands and Bird keys during the week of Feb. 28 and March 4 at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses and the sole sale to exceed $1 million. Of the week’s sales, 13 occurred on Longboat Key, seven of which were in Manatee County, and one took place on Lido Key.
Also at Bay Isles, Ronald Levin sold his home at 3318 Bayou Sound to Richard and Mary Godshalk, of Bethesda, Md., for $625,000. Built in 1981, the 2,675-square-foot home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $325,000 in October 1994.
Beaches of Longboat Key-South
Karen Inglett, of Marietta, Ga., sold Unit 902 in Phase I of the Beaches of Longboat Key-South, 775 Longboat Club Road, to Larry and Mary Dwyer, of St. Louis, for $960,000. Built in 1984, the 1,842-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It last sold for $640,000 in April 1999.
Emerald Harbor
Robert Kirk Jr. and his wife, Jayne Kirk, sold their home at 630 Emerald Harbor Drive to Frederick and Joann Gowan, 5920 Emerald Harbor Drive, for $675,000. Built in 1970 and remodeled in 1980, the 1,787-square-foot, canal-front home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a swimming pool. It last sold for $719,000 in June 2002.
Fairway Bay
John and Patricia Kramer, of Wheeling, W.Va., sold Unit 632 at Fairway Bay III, 2120 Harbourside Drive, to Henry and Kristina Adomonis, of Raleigh, N.C., for $500,000. Built in 1988, the 2,039-square-foot unit has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $445,000 in January 1999.
Also in Fairway Bay, Kenneth and Laura Berns and Deborah Lingwood, of Gainesville, sold Unit 446 in Fairway Bay II, 2020 Harbourside Drive, to William and Dorothy Gibson, of Deland, for $389,000. Built in 1984, the 1,270-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $454,000 in December 2002.
Seagrape Longbeach Village
John and Elaine Meshad, of Sarasota, sold Unit 12 at the Seagrape Longbeach Village, 7001 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Longboat Sunshine LLC, a Florida limited-liability company with a Cincinnati address, for $435,000. Built in 1974, the 1,170-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Islander Club of Longboat
Arthur Thurston Jr., of Duluth, Ga., sold Apartment 103-N at the Islander Club of Longboat, 2301 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Charles and Rosalie Staloff for $425,000. Built in 1970, the 1,235-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It sold for $43,500 in February 1972.
Longboat Key Yacht & Tennis Club
Michael and Cynthia Seamon, 562 Norton St., sold Unit 1 at Longboat Key Yacht & Tennis Club, 4140 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Patricia Kelly, of Mohnton, Pa., for $373,500. Built in 1973, the 1,192-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $321,000 in February 2007.
Harbour Villa Club at the Buccaneer
Karen Murray, of Parrish, sold Unit 114 at Harbour Villa Club at the Buccaneer, 615 Dream Island Road, to Donna Horn, of Lexington, Ky., for $309,000. Built in 1985, the 1,514-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $645,000 in July 2004.
Cedars East
William Smith III, of Spring Hill, Tenn., sold Unit 40 at 817 Evergreen Way in Cedars East to Graham and Lynne Cherrington, of Marietta, Ga., for $219,000. Built in 1991, the 1,501-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. It sold for $330,000 in June 2004.
Longboat Harbour
Robert and Christine Sullivan, of Marshfield, Mass., sold Unit 104 in Building E of the 300-unit Longboat Harbour at 4350 Chatham Drive to Michael and Coreen Walther, of Liberty Township, Ohio, for $175,000. Built in 1969, the 667-square-foot unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It last sold for $190,000 in April 2004.
Silver Sands
Joseph and Priscilla Gratton, of University Park, sold Unit 232 at Silver Sands, 5841 Gulf of Mexico Drive, to Elizabeth Sottile, of Sebring, for $155,000. Built in 1953 and remodeled in 2004, the 450-square-foot unit has one bedroom and one bathroom. It last sold for $395,000 in February 2005.
Lido Beach House
Richard and Yolanda Calitro, of Old Lyme, Conn., sold Unit 6 at Lido Beach House, 945 Ben Franklin Drive, to Thomas and Laura Flood for $446,500. Built in 1989, the 1,306-square-foot unit has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It last sold for $148,000 in August 1993.
