Charlotte Ann Barsalow, 90, of Longboat Key and formerly of Fair Haven, Vt., died March 12.

Mrs. Barsalow and her husband, William Barsalow Sr., worked side-by-side in their family business, Barsalow’s Bakery, in Fair Haven. She was a longtime resident of Gulf Shore of Longboat Key, where she had many close friends and was a dedicated caregiver to many of the community’s residents, enabling them to remain in their homes. She retired from her role of taking care of the “old folks” in her mid-80s but remained active in the community’s festivities and events.

Mrs. Barsalow enjoyed playing cards and was a Bingo junkie. She chauffeured her friends to Bingo, or occasionally to the Hard Rock Casino, in her sporty, new P.T. Cruiser and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Barsalow is survived by her sons William Jr., of Fair Haven, and Charles, of Milton, Vt.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter, who was born March 11; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 10 a.m., Friday, March 18, at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, 4280 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
