American Red Cross to host Hurricane Bash Golf Tournament

The American Red Cross will kickoff the start of hurricane season with a Hurricane Bash Golf Tournament and Celebrity Chef Showcase May 20 at the University Park Country Club.

The golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The celebrity chef showcase, featuring hurricane-inspired dishes from various chefs from Bradenton and Sarasota, will follow at 5:30 p.m. Participating restaurants include: Polo Grill and Bar, Michael’s on East, Anna Maria Oyster Bar and Mattison’s, among others.

The event will also include a silent auction and special appearances by local ABC7 meteorologists.
