Braden River High kicker Kadin Kerns has committed to play football for Kent State University.
Kerns chose Kent State after meeting with head coach Darrell Hazell and his staff. The senior liked the coaches and felt comfortable at the university. Kerns plans to major in criminal justice, serve in the military and then join the FBI. Kerns will be the first football player at Kent State to join the ROTC program and play football.
Kent State will open the 2011 season Sept. 3 at Alabama.
