+ Re/Max announces strong year-to-date sales
Re/Max announced that its company has sold 5,772 homes year-to-date in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. The sales give the company a 15.27% market share, according to the Mid-Florida Regional Multiple Listing Service (MLS). According to the prepared statement, the company’s closest competitor sold 4,642 homes in the same period, giving it a 12.31% market share.

+ Michael Saunders & Co., Signature Sotheby’s make list
Michael Saunders & Co. and Signature Sotheby’s International Real Estate were each ranked among the nation’s top 100 residential brokerages by REAL Trends Inc.

Signature Sotheby’s was ranked 54th in terms of total sales volume, with $1.464 billion in closings in 2010, and also ranked 15th in terms of average sales price.

Michael Saunders ranked 60th, with $1.432 billion in total sales from 2010. According to a prepared statement, that total was up 21% from 2009.
