The Second Annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic wrapped up on Sunday, Nov. 13, but the sand sculptures were left out all of Monday.
This morning however, the sculptures were demolished.
"By noon-time Tuesday, it will look like nothing ever happened on the Beach," Bob Parkinson, co-chair of the Siesta Key Crystal Classic said. "When people see that, and see the first bulldozer hit the first statue, the general reaction is, 'Ohhhh ... '"
