Bird Key home sells for $2,675,000

Jimmy and Lynn Hayes, Atlanta, sold their home at 344 W. Royal Flamingo Drive, on Bird Key, to David and Kelly Cain, Sarasota, for $2,675,000. Built in 1998, it has four bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,344 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3.6 million in 2007.

Also on Bird Key, Richard and Carol Angelotti, Sarasota, sold their home at 228 Seagull Lane to Shaun Benderson, University Park, for $1.8 million. Built in 1970, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 4,317 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $525,000 in 1993.

This week’s residential real-estate transactions were recorded Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, at the Sarasota and Manatee county courthouses. Of this week’s nine transactions, five were for $1 million or more.

Water Club I at Longboat Key
Clifford and Louise Troyer, Sarasota, sold their Unit 902 condominium at 1241 Gulf of Mexico Drive to James Jurgensen, trustee, Cincinnati, for $2,025,000. Built in 1996, it has three bedrooms, five baths and 3,400 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.35 million in 1996.

Islands West
Timothy McCormick, trustee, Gulfport, sold the Unit PH-W condominium at 2525 Gulf of Mexico Drive to Timothy and Kathleen Keenan, of Oak Hill, Va., for $1.85 million. Built in 1972, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 3,125 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $2.05 million in 2005.

Bay Isles
Eleanor Merrill, of Lafayette, La., sold the home at 3384 Bayou Lane to Raymond Lough and Martha Michals, Longboat Key, for $648,000. Built in 1986, it has three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a pool and 2,894 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $362,500 in 1987.

Sleepy Lagoon Park
Elena Pinelli and Joshua Johnson, Sarasota, sold their home at 625 Norton St. to David and Sharon Stricker, Windermere, and John and Nancy Stricker, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., for $540,000. Built in 1977, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,830 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $75,000 in 2004.

Orchid Beach Club Residences
Scott and Rosemarie Salick, of Nashotah, Wis., sold their Unit A302 condominium at 2050 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Paul and Stacy Wheeler, of Somerset, Pa., for $1.2 million. Built in 2005, it has three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and 3,242 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1,095,000 in 2005.

Lido Harbour Towers
Georgia and Robert Whitley, trustees, of Plainfield, Ill., sold the Unit 506 condominium at 1770 Benjamin Franklin Drive to Royal Blue Properties LLC for $320,000. Built in 1970, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,211 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $137,500 in 1995.

John Ringling Estates Inc.
Dina and James Wigmore, of Scituate, Mass., sold their home at 145 Cleveland Drive to Chambers Rentals LLC for $400,000. Built in 1968, it has three bedrooms, four baths and 2,453 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $850,000 in 2004.
