Tigers shutout Mustangs

The Lakewood Ranch High football team failed to find the end zone as the visiting Mustangs fell to Palmetto 27-0 in non-district action Sept. 30.

Palmetto extended its record to 5-0 as Tigers quarterback Trent Miller threw for more than 300 yards, four touchdowns and a couple interceptions while Lakewood quarterback Jeren Kowalewski threw a pair of interceptions.

The Mustangs return to district action at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 versus Tarpon Springs in their Homecoming game.
