Mustangs break county record

The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team won its sixth consecutive tournament, shooting a 2-under par 286 to capture the Manatee County Championship Oct. 14.

The Mustangs broke their previous county record to improve their record to 72-0.

Ramsey Touchberry shot 70 to lead way for Lakewood. Kyle Benson and Dylan Hogan both shot 72 followed by Connor Baldwin (73), Hunter Sagar (74) and Danny Walker (79).

Braden River shot a combined 314 to finish third.
