Lady Mustangs earn top seed

The Lakewood Ranch High volleyball team captured the top seed in the Class 6A-District 12 tournament, defeating St. Petersburg Dixie Hollins 25-11, 25-5 and 25-9 Oct. 13 to finish 5-0 in district play.

Morgan Keiffer finished with nine kills to lead the way for the Lady Mustangs (13-6). Mariah Robertson added seven kills, four aces and four digs. Ashlyn Falehee contributed five kills and four aces and Emily Ruple added five kills and five aces.
