Samantha Ramon, a senior criminology major at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, was recently crowned the 2011 Homecoming Countess. Ramon serves in the United States Navy, works as a legal assistant at the State Attorney’s Office and will start law school next fall. She is a mother of two children and the founding president of the on-campus Multi-Culture Club.

“Running for countess was important to me, because I believe that no matter your background, your race, your age or your gender, anything is possible,” she said. “Ambition is so important in being successful in life.”

Ramon will represent the college at USF Tampa’s homecoming dance and parade.
