11 a.m. — 3000 block Gulf Gate Drive. Vehicle Theft. A cab driver fired four days earlier was arrested for not returning his taxi. A deputy was asked to help return the car. He knocked on the suspect’s door for 10 minutes before the man opened it. The taxi was in the man’s garage, and it was in disarray. The cab company said it sustained more than $700 dollars in damage. The suspect said: “I should have returned it earlier.”
