Ortiz and McDermott finish in Top 10

Lakewood Ranch High runners Olivia Ortiz and Devin McDermott finished in the Top 10 at the Déjà Vu Invitational Sept. 9 in Tampa.

Sixteen schools and 131 Varsity Elite runners competed in the race. Ortiz finished second in 18 minutes, 26.30 seconds while McDermott was ninth (19:57.30).

Lakewood’s Kristin Zarella finished 24^th (20:43.60) followed by Natalie Novak (21:13.30), Ashley Platt (21:17.90), Michelle Last (22:13.00), Emily Perez (22:40.10) and Elizabeth Chandler (23:45.70).
