The following information was gathered from incident and arrest reports obtained from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
BRADENTON CROSSINGS
Sept. 11
9:30 a.m. — 5500 block of 47th Court East. Vehicle burglary. Unknown person(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and stole property.
ELWOOD PARK
Sept. 11
6:30 p.m. — 4900 block of 34th Avenue East. Animal bite. The complainant was walking down the road, allegedly stepping in the grass of the neighbor’s property. The neighbor’s 11-month-old American bulldog was loose and bit the victim on the back of her left leg, causing a small puncture. An animal Control office took photos, completed the appropriate forms and took the dog for quarantine.
LIGHTHOUSE COVE
Sept. 10
11:19 p.m. — 200 block of Cape Harbour Loop. Petit theft. The victim reported an unknown person stole a bicycle from his front yard.
RIVERDALE
Sept. 11
8:36 a.m. — 11600 block of 4th Avenue East. Burglary of dwelling. Unknown person(s) entered the home and stole items. There was no forced entry. The front and rear doors were partially open when the owner came home.
OTHER
Sept. 10
8:45 a.m. — 7100 28th Street East. Burglary to unoccupied conveyance. The victim reported an unknown person reached in his trailer and stole building supplies. The victim said the trailer is an open trailer with no sides, roof or locking doors. The victim stated about $1,500 in supplies were taken.
2:20 p.m. — 7800 of Broadmoor Pines Boulevard. Theft. The employee of the business did repair work at the victim’s home and charged $244 for the work. The employee later paid the victim $100 back when the “new” part proved to be inoperable. The employee promised to return to complete repairs but never showed. The company owner alleges the employee is defrauding customers and even hands out phony company receipts. The company owner is reviewing his books to measure the extent of the employee’s actions and will contact the Sheriff’s Office with further information.
6:30 p.m. — 6200 block of State Road 64 East (Walmart). Lost purse. The complainant left her purse in the shopping cart in the store parking lot while loading her child into the car. When she realized what she had done about 10 minutes later, she returned. The purse was missing from the cart, and Walmart employees stated no one had turned in a purse.
Sept. 11
5:45 a.m. — 8600 block of State Road 70 East (Hess). Burglary to unoccupied vehicle. An unknown subject entered the vehicle through an unlocked door and removed a car stereo valued at $100. The subject fled in an unknown direction by unknown means.
