Mustangs win tri-matches

The Lakewood Ranch High boys golf team shot a combined 3-over par 291 to top district rivals Riverview (304) and Sarasota (310) Sept. 13 at The Founders Club.

Connor Baldwin shot 71 to earn medalist honors for the Mustangs. Hunter Sagar and Danny Walker each shot 72 and Ramsey Touchberry finished with a 76. David Dill and Ben Boulch both shot 79.

Lakewood followed up its district victory with victories over Sarasota, Manatee and Bradenton Christian Sept. 14 at Rosedale Golf & Country Club, improving its record to 26-0.

The Mustangs shot 150 to beat Sarasota (151) by one stroke. Manatee shot 162 and Bradenton Christian finished with a 165. Baldwin earned medalist honors for the second match in a row with a 35. Kyle Benson shot 37 followed by Touchberry and Walker who both shot 39.
