FIVE THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT: DON O'LEARY

1. People-watcher. O’Leary listens to music on occasion, but he’s more about being with or watching people. Instead of the radio, he turns to the television. He enjoys cop-related shows, as well as “Two And A Half Men.”

2. Family man. O’Leary and his wife have four children of their own. Beyond that, they have 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

3. Senior specialist. O’Leary in January founded the Lakewood Ranch Seniors Club.

4. Leadership skills. O’Leary is a former president of the Lakewood Ranch Civic Action Forum.

5. Mr. Mayor. O’Leary was the second recipient of the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund’s C. John A. Clarke Humanitarian of the Year Award.
